Question 1

Can I choose whether other members can discover me?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your profile is private by default. In member settings, turn on “Let other members discover you” when you want your profile to appear in signed-in member discovery. Turn it off to make your profile private again.

Question 2

What can I choose to show about my identity?

Accepted Answer

Legal name and profile photo each have their own setting. For each, choose Hidden, Blurred, or Revealed. You can change either choice later. These settings describe what future member-facing profiles show.

Question 3

When do interests become visible?

Accepted Answer

An interest stays private until the other member expresses interest too. A mutual interest creates a match; matched members can then continue in a private conversation.

Question 4

What happens if I block someone?

Accepted Answer

Blocking ends contact with that member, removes them from your discovery results, and prevents you from loading that private conversation or sending more messages.

Question 5

How can I report a member?

Accepted Answer

From a member profile or matched conversation, choose Report, select the reason that best fits, optionally add factual and relevant details, and submit the private report. The current flow does not share the report with the reported member.

Question 6

What happens if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

The current deletion control removes your Cindermeet account and member profile, signs you out, and removes you from member discovery. It does not make a broader claim about conversations, safety records, or information outside Cindermeet’s account and profile deletion controls.
